Tunnel Radio Completes Installation in BNSF's Cascade Tunnel

Tunnel Radio has just completed installation of multiple systems in Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Cascade Tunnel. At 7.8 miles, Cascade Tunnel is the longest railroad tunnel in the United States. Installed systems include Tunnel Radio Link which provides Distributed Power (DP); Multi-Channel Voice communications; and all assigned 220 MHz PTC channels. Utilizing a dual band technology, where multiple signals (160 and 220 MHz) are propagated on a single cable Tunnel Radio is able to save the customer both in terms of initial costs and system maintenance.
